Taj Mahal Palace and Tower, Mumbai

The Taj Mahal Palace & Tower Built in 1903, the hotel is a gracious landmark of the city of Mumbai across the Gateway of India, the city’s most famous monument  built in 1911 to commemorate the visit of King George V and Queen Mary. The hotel has panoramic views of the Arabian Sea and the perfect location in Mumbai. Being close to the most important landmarks and the most beautiful shops the hotels lobby is always busy with people, visiting the shopping arcade and the restaurants and bars inside the hotel.The Taj Mahal Hotel, was born out of Jamsetji N. Tata’s dream. Mr. Tata believed that Bombay (now Mumbai), the commercial capital of India, required a grand hotel, one that would enhance its reputation amongst the great cities of the world. In 1970  the Tower block has been added  which nearly doubled the Hotel’s room. The Palace part –heritage wing- is an architectural marvel which brings together Moorish, Oriental and Florentine styles and full of a magnificent collection of Indian art.
