Tokyo Aman

Aman Tokyo, located in the financial district of Otemachi, draws its design inspiration from traditional Japanese residential structures. Classic Japanese materials such as timber, Washi paper and stone are blended to great effect with modern technology and luxurious fabrics. Filtered light contrasts with solid elements, creating a subtle interplay of shadow and light fundamental to the design and ambiance of the hotel. The inner garden is surrounded by a veranda or engawa, which leads to the dining and lounge areas. This term traditionally refers to a wooden space between the garden and living areas in traditional homes, and the concept has been incorporated into the hotel’s guest rooms and suites.
