Hotel The Exchange is a hotel with a special love of fashion. Students of the Amsterdam Fashion Institute dressed the rooms like models on the catwalk. The hotel is located in three buildings, of which the oldest dates back to the 17th century. In the same buildings there is a 230 m2 contemporary department store Options! and a restaurant Stock that serves breakfast till late.

Hotel The Exchange has 61 rooms, ranging from 1 to 5 stars. Each room has been designed and dressed by graduates and alumni of the Amsterdam Fashion Institute (AMFI). The rooms are as diverse and inspiring, as the neighborhood the hotel lies in.The romantic at heart can fall asleep in a Marie Antoinette-inspired room where a huge dress drapes over the walls and unto the bed. Or, if you prefer a more minimal look, opt for a room that is based on the old fairy tale of the Emperor’s New Clothes. There are  also sewing machines in the hotel if you want to sew by yourself!

Set inside Cheval Blanc hotel, adjacent to the slopes  The 1947 reveals a refined leather-clad décor, specially created by Sybille de Margerie. It is in this sublime setting that Cheval Blanc invites the multi-award-winning chef Yannick Alléno to initiate a new “culinary movement”. The 1947 represents his manifesto for a French cuisine that fuses proud tradition with provocative creativity.

Nestled in the French Alps not far away from alpine village of Mègeve, Le Chalet is a mountain retreat offering a truly luxurious experience. Established over a vast area, the site has three alpine-style chalets. All different, each one of the 12 bedrooms evokes style, beauty and taste. The wellness centre with its indoor swimming pool, sauna, hammam and two treatment rooms is the perfect place to relax. In the lounge of Le Chalet, you can relax in front of the fire or sit out on the terrace. The views are panoramic and magnificent.

Château La Coste is a vineyard where art, architecture and land have come together. Architect Jean Nouvel was commissioned to design a technologically advanced wine making chai. The Art Centre, designed by Tadao Ando. In La Coste winery and vineyard  you can walk  through 180 hectares of wooded hilltops, valleys and vines discover works Louise Bourgeois, Alexander Calder, Andy Goldsworthy, Carsten Holler, Paul Matisse, Jean Prouve, Richard Serra among many others.

The Louisiana Museum of Modern Art begins the exhibition year 2012 with a presentation of the most pace-setting photographer today, Andreas Gursky. Many of Gursky’s pictures come close to the painterly, others appear highly photographic. With 45 of the artist’s mega-photographs and about 26 smaller photographs, Louisiana’s exhibition spans all of Gursky’s output right up to the very latest photographs.  The exhibition thus gives the viewer the opportunity to follow the transformations and transformative power of the pictures over more than two decades.

Mathematics: A Beautiful Elsewhere with the Fondation Cartier pour l’art contemporain invites the public to participate in a total and original creative experience conceived in association with the Institut des Hautes Études Scientifiques (IHÉS) and presented under the patronage of UNESCO. The exhibition is an unveiling of the mental landscapes, the infinite horizons and the invisible mysteries of a way of thinking that is fueled by dreams, intuition and creativity.

The Delaunay is a café-restaurant in the grand European tradition located in Covent Garden. Designed by David Collins Studio, the space is filled with wood, metal, brass and mirrors. The menus range from breakfasts, brunch on Saturdays & Sundays, all-day snacks, coffees, afternoon teas, sandwiches, platters of crustacea, ice-cream coupes, patisserie and cakes, and a full à la carte, with a daily changing plat du jour and a extensive selection of schnitzels and Wieners.

Le Royal Eclaireur ’s  name comes from the Palace where it is located : the Royal Monceau. It also ows its identity from the designer who created it : Philippe Starck, in collaboration with Armand Hadida, creator of l’Eclaireur. The shop is imagined like the suite of an hotel, comfortable, spacious, refined. Art, decoration, design, but also a fashionable selection in the innovating line of l’Eclaireur’s mixed universes, the Royal Eclaireur decides to drive the experience a little further.

The twelfth commission in The Unilever Series is by the celebrated British filmmaker Tacita Dean. It is an 11-minute silent 35mm film projected onto a gigantic white monolith standing 13 metres tall at the end of a darkened Turbine Hall. It is the first work in The Unilever Series devoted to the moving image, and celebrates the masterful techniques of analogue film-making as opposed to digital.

ESPA Life, the revolutionary new spa at Corinthia Hotel London offers a fully integrated wellness approach alongside a luxury spa experience. Spread over four floors and covering 3,300 square metres, the enormity and grandeur of ESPA Life has soft curved walls throughout, black Tunisian marble and textured leather throughout spa. It has 17 treatment pods, nail studio, Daniel Galvin hair studio, 9 metre silver steel swimming pool, amphitheatre sauna, black mosaic steam room and a state-of-the-art gym.

Les Cols Pavellons is outside Olot in Catalunya, in a rural area. Les Cols is actually a restaurant with rooms. The restaurant is in a 13th-century farmhouse and serves Fina Puigdevall’s alt-country food, which earned Michelin star. Its interior design is the work of Girona-based architects Rafael Aranda, Carme Pigem and Ramón Vilalta. The five pavilions at Les Cols are a series of glass-and-steel boxes devoid of all decoration and furniture except a big, black futon. A glass floor floats above black rocks, which are supposed to evoke the volcanic landscapes of the Garrotxa.

Le café Campana inside Musée d’Orsay redesigned by Campana brothers. Inspired by Emile Gallé, the two famous Brazilian designers created a dream-like aquatic ambiance that pays tribute to the great glassmaker from Lorraine, and to Art Nouveau. 

Odile Decq designed  L’Opéra Restaurant, located in one of the most famous buildings in opera, the 1,600-seat L’Opéra Garnier, on Place de l’Opéra. The most significant features of the restaurant are the magnificent glass curtain walls that protect the original stone; the curved structures that define the new space and also create the seating areas and even some of the seating; and the simple use of white and red.

The exhibition displays the world-famous designs of Studio Job, which consists of Job Smeets and Nynke Tynagel. In the past ten years, the Groninger Museum has accumulated a substantial collection of work by Studio Job.

Situated in the heart of Paris, Club Silencio is designed by artist David Lynch. The club is in a mythical address that was once home to two influential leftist newspapers, L’Humanité and L’Aurore. Its name is a sly allusion to the club from the director’s  film Mullholland Drive. The 2,100-square-foot space consists of a series of intimate rooms, each dedicated to a certain purpose or atmosphere, including a live stage with a reflective dance floor, an intimate art library, a cocooned sitting lounge, and a spacious 24-seat cinema.

The interiors were designed by Brazilian architect Marcio Kogan who created the space using natural stone, slate and wood with a unique set of art pieces, fabrics and furniture style. At L’and the customers can literally sleep under the stars and marvel at the Alentejo night sky, with private suite collection that offers retractable ceilings.

 YSP presents an extraordinary body of new and recent work by renowned Spanish artist Jaume Plensa. Encouraging tactile and sensory exploration, this vibrant exhibition includes a 50-metre curtain of poetry made of suspended steel letters, large illuminated sculptures in the landscape, and engraved gongs that visitors can strike to fill the gallery with sound.

There’s something very special about the Parisian townhouse at No. 8 rue Jean Goujon. Here in the Maison des Centraliens, between classicism and avant-garde, tradition and provocation, a new experience is coming
to life: witty, jokey , poetic, playing in total freedom..Built in 1866,  for the Duchess of Rivoli had three floors.  On the death of the duchess, it passed to her son Victor Masséna, then to her grandson André Prosper who sold it in 1913 to Princess of Croye olre. Her heirs sold it in 1919 to the Maison des Centraux,  formed for the purpose with funds provided by the alumni of the Ecole Centrale des Arts et Manufactures.

In 2011, nearly two centuries later, the Accor group wanted to turn this unique, prestigious setting into the place where they would have dine and sleep. 40 existing rooms renovated  creating 17 new guestrooms and suites. Beyond renovation, architect Danièle Damon has really restructured the building. On the ground floor the restaurant is now vast and opens onto the terrace and garden, On the first, third and fourth floors, the former Centralien premises have been vacated to build the 17 Couture guestrooms and suites, their design entrusted to Maison Martin Margiela.  

Square Nine is located  in the heart of belgrade’s old town, overlooking leafy students square. Square Nine’s aesthetic sees each of its 45 spacious rooms and suites stylish equipped with pratesi linen, limestone bathrooms, and cashmere throws.
The adjacent restaurant offers fine dining, a smart continental menu, and a summertime courtyard terrace. The interior work of Brazilian architect Isay Weinfeld, this exceptional, privately owned address is lined in imported stone and wood and outfitted with carefully selected accents including a superb collection of vintage danish modern and mid century american furniture.
