Aha is the modern eclectic restaurant tucked away in Siem Reap’s old market area and is popular for its tapas style starters and international wine list. You can sit outside and people-watch in the arty, pedestrianised Passage, or favour the cool air-conditioned interior with its funky lighting, 30m wooden wave wall and floor to ceiling wine cellar. From the menu, sample three ’small plates’ in one, or choose a dish from the internationally inspired main menu, and enjoy the mix of Khmer and western flavours.

208 Duecento Otto is a neighbourhood restaurant and bar located on Hong Kong’s up-and-coming Sheung Wan district. Set in a striking two-storied venue, formerly a meat storage warehouse, the 208 combines a lively bar downstairs with a more intimate upstairs dining room, both with semi-outdoor seating, overlooking Hollywood Road. Istanbul-based designers Autoban have created unique interiors which contrast with the local architecture of the building – stylish, modern yet immensely cosy.- perfectly balancing industrial steel to reflect the architectural landscape of New York, with warm wooden ceilings and floors and beautiful blue and white ceramic tile with Chinese illustrations. A unique feature of the restaurant is a custom-designed Napoletana pizza oven specially shipped in from Italy where busy Pizzaiolos create a lively Italian restaurant atmosphere.

Tazmania Ballroom, Pool Hall, Lounge, Club is Hong Kong’s favorite place to party, shoot pool, play ping pong and dance. Tazmania Ballroom is an exclusive pool bar in Hong Kong’s Central district. Inspiration for the plush interiors is drawn from traditional British games rooms. The space is designed by Tom Dixon and the result is an exclusive and glamorous mix of a pool hall/private club/dance club/night club. Golden pool tables are magically lifted to the ceiling making room for one of Hong Kong’s largest dance floors where resident DJs keep the carefully screened guests hopping with the latest Function One sound system. The British street culture is emphasized with the staffers attire: they wear Doc Martens and Fred Perry.

Tote takes the sublime experience of food to the next level in Mumbai. Serie Architects has converted the former betting house into a spectacular space with a restaurant, bar and a set of banquet rooms.A series of disused buildings from Mumbai’s colonial past set within the Mumbai Race Course are to be converted to form a series of restaurant and bars. The conservation guidelines call for the preservation of the roof profile for three-quarters of the buildings and full conservation for the remaining one-quarter. The combination of dishes and flavors, ranging from traditional brunch favourites like eggs to comfort food in the rains like steaming hot khowsuey and a vast grill section of Western and Indian specialities, especially the Tote brunch is just what you need after a long week.

Sureño is located inside the stylish Opposite House. Its unique interiors were created by Lyndon Neri and Rosanna Hu, founders of architectural design practice Neri and Hu Design . At the heart of Mediterranean restaurant Sureño, which is styled in warm woods and blue olive grove patterns, is the wood-fired oven, with a surrounding counter allowing guests to watch the chefs at work. Through the à la carte and tasting menus, the restaurant focuses on seafood, hand made pastas, salads and tapas. It is headed by Australian-Italian Chef de Cuisine Stefano Pace, who underwent a traditional culinary apprenticeship at Melbourne’s most renowned Italian restaurant, Florentinos, and has run a number of highly rated kitchens in Asia as well as the famous Harry’s Bar in Rome. Sureño is the best Italian in town.

David Thompson, famed for Michelin-starred Nahm restaurant at The Halkin hotel in London, has opened his first restaurant in Bangkok. Serving authentic Thai food, Nahm is located on the ground floor of the metropolitan Bangkok hotel and looking out towards the pool, so guests are able to dine within the cool interiors, or on the terrace. Standout dishes include rare ingredients from all regions of Thailand. These include a jungle curry with pla chorn (a fresh water fish). There is also a colourful array of salty and sweet Thai desserts and an extensive wine menu.

LAN Club Beijing is an exclusive lounge and restaurant with global artistic taste. The restaurant LAN, designed by Philippe Starck, serves some of Beijing’s most delectable contemporary cuisine. Being the only work by renowned artist Philippe Starck in China, LAN holds a large number of art treasures and well-known antique furniture, like the world famous hand-made Baccarat crystal chandeliers, the black ones especially used by European royal families, and hundreds of world famous baroque paintings hanging from the ceiling and the walls in unique frames. Additionally, a near to a 1.000 square meters large oil painting canvas painted by 20 foreign artists, was cut into pieces to fit LAN, which now form the walls of the 35 private rooms. LAN holds a fresh looking oyster bar, a luxury cigar room, a red wine chamber, a classic English bar and a restaurant serving Contemporary Cantonese cuisine highlighting specialty dishes from all over China.

Waku Ghin is Chef Tetsuya Wakuda’s first establishment outside of Australia. Its name reflects the “silver metal” knives in Chef Tetsuya’s collection. The restaurant features a sake bar and caviar lounge, as well as an impressive, arcing display of the 3,000-bottle wine collection. Designed with an exacting attention to detail, Chef Wakuda’s personal imprint is found throughout this warm, chic and unified space. The carpet in the main dining room draws inspiration from the undulating forms of folded steel found in one of the chef’s knives, while small wall niches throughout the hall hold works of art from the chef’s collection. Waku Ghin’s drawing room is the ideal place to relax with after-dinner drinks, while soaking in the sensational floor-to-ceiling view of the Singapore skyline.

Tsukiji Fish Market is the biggest wholesale fish and seafood market in the world and also one of the largest wholesale food markets of any kind. The market is at the same time the Mecca for Sushi.. Being also a major attraction for Tokyo visitors, at 5:00 p.m. the market begins to receive shipments. Fresh foods and other products pour in from various parts of the world by truck, plane and ship until late at night. In the”‘ inner market”‘ at 5:30 a.m. the tuna auction starts and a lot of middlemen and authorized buyers bid against each other. At 8:00 a.m. retailers load the goods which they have bought at auction or from middlemen into their trucks and carry them back to their own shops in town.

The “outer market” however stays open till afternoon and is a mixture of wholesale and retail shops that sell Japanese kitchen tools, restaurant supplies, groceries, and seafood, and many restaurants, especially sushi restaurants. Visiting and eating the freshest sushi in the world is a real experience, however, you have to expect to wait a long time in line . There are many restaurants in the area and Sushi Dai is one of the best ones.

It’s glamorous and gorgeous … and you feel also glamorous and gorgeous in this, sexy, chic and comfortable bar..The Glamour Bar is located on Shanghai’s historic riverfront, The Bund, on the sixth floor of the former Nissin Shipping building. It has the spectacular, one-of-a-kind Bund and Pudong views.

A stunning chrome-and-mirror bar, its inspiration a sexy high heel, anchors the room; fabric screens with Chinese landscape images and an inviting hodgepodge of sofas and chairs create a feeling that is both ultra-comfortable and ultra-chic. With huge windows lining three walls, the Glamour Bar’s views of both modern and historic Shanghai are unparalleled.

The food is tasty, the cocktails are tempting. What else do you want from a place?

Made in China does not only impress with its food but also with its unique decoration. you never expect from a hotel restaurant. In Made in China the whole restaurant is a big Show Kitchen and you sit either between Wine Cellar and oven where they cook the Peking Ducks, or among the cooks who prepare dim sum or next to the tea preparation table. Everything is cooked or prepared next or across you. The atmosphere is very stimulating with the buzz from diners and the action from the kitchen.

The restaurant has the best Peking Duck and many tasty North Chinese specialities like Beggar’s Chicken served with the most innovative presentations. It has a great selection of Chinese teas which are exhibited in different traditional pods in the restaurant. It is a must visit place while you are in Beijing..

Japanese restaurant Naoki is in the new, elegant urban resort of Aman Summer Palace in Beijing, 45 minutes from Beijing city center.

Within the resort, Naoki is located adjacent to a beautiful pool, featuring Chef Naoki Okumura’s famous French Kaiseki cuisine combining the best of French techniques with a Japanese sense of artistry. You will be amazed as the Chefs cook in front of you and design their creations. Chef Naoki utilizes the freshest ingredients rotating his menus with the transition of seasons. Our suggestion is to taste 8 to 10 offerings served individually complimented by the extensive wine menu of Aman.

The world acclaimed master chef Daniel Boulud offering in Beijing French Fine dining in two story central building of the former American Embassy compound, built in the late 1900’s and next to Tiananmen Square. Creating a band new culinary style through the fusion of classic French preparation methods and Chinese ingredients, each dish will provide guests with a sensational dining experience.

Maison Boulud covers 700 sq meters across two levels. Designed by the famous Parisian firm Gilles & Boissier, the first floor accommodates a fine dining area and the sexy red bar and a separate lounge for less formal dining. The second floor features three separate dining rooms of different sizes for a more exclusive dining experience.

It is best to choose the Chef’s tasting menu accompanied by the Sommelier’s great wine selection for each dish.

For best traditional home style Thai food in Bangkok Thiptara is the best choice.

Located on the bank of the Chao Phraya River, under the Peninsula hotel, an original Thai compound has been recreated for here. You sit on a wooden-deck and inside a tropical garden nestled under a giant banyan tree. Teak -wood open-air pavilions, or salas were shipped from the ancient Thai capital Atutthaya and reassembled for Thiptara, giving the impressions of a Thai village.

The menu has all the Westerner’s Thai favorites like tom yum goong soup, pad Thai noodles, green chicken curry as well as the Thais’ Thai favourites, such as spicy catfish salad, spicy and sour shrimp curry with sesban flowers, and fish dumpling curry with pea aubergines.

On a clear day, one can see Mount Fuji from Park Hotels”s exquisite contemporary Japanese restaurant, Kozue, serving imperial food of Tokyo. The menu features only the finest seasonal ingredients for the hearty, home-style dishes which are uniquely presented on beautiful earthenware, porcelain and lacquer ware created by noted Japanese craftsmen. Kozue features an extensive sake list for the perfect accompaniment. Very good choice for tasting the Kaiseki food.

Sala Rim Naan is the signature Thai restaurant of the greatest hotel in Bangkok. It is just a very romantic ferry ride away from Mandarin Orientals terrace where you can have your drink before your dinner. At the Terrace Rim Naam which boasts an exotic a la carte menu every evening you can choose among the tasty dishes like Naam Prig Makham, Nuea Yaang Naam Tok, Tom Som Pla Grabog..
Housed in a richly decorated Thai pavilion that is reminiscent of Northern Thai architecture, the restaurant is also the setting for one of the Kingdom’s unique cultural experiences—classical Thai dancing performed each night.. a bit too touristic but can be also very entertaining..
