Tamirane is a cafe, restaurant and performance hall inside Santral Istanbul. The building, an old warehouse used to be water purification premises and later the repair yard of Istanbul powerhouse. Tamirhane’s today design reflects therawand industrial stance. Its menu reflects Mediterranean flavors. Music is one of the cornerstones of Tamirane’s existence, weekly gigs take place in that respect.

Open from the morning till late night, Tamirane is a very nice spot for urban people who is interested in good food, drink and music.

Perched on the Caldera cliffs, 300 feet above the azure waters of the Aegean, Katikies The Hotel in Oia Santorini had many great characteristics. Awe inspiring Caldera views, beautiful Santorini sunsets and perfectly manicured pink bougainvilleas provide the magnificent backdrop for this hotel that spills down the cliffs of the magical Caldera.

With a history as spectacular as its free form fantasy architectural formation of stairs, bridges, cubist cottages, infinity pools and Caldera views, Katikies rooms are both pristine and welcoming where magical private terraces hover over the most unforgettable of views. Infinity pools with caldera views that continue down into the azure waters of the Aegean Sea. Cascading down the rim of the Caldera, each of the 27 Santorini rooms and Oia suites provide luxury accommodation and personalised hotel services. If you are on honeymoon, stay in the particular Honeymoon suite with white curtains billowing seductively with sweet sea breezes for a great romance.

Christo and Jeanne-Claude have wrapped the oldest bridge in Paris, the Pont-Neuf, planted fields of blossoming yellow and blue umbrellas in the hills of California and countryside of Japan, and wrapped the Reichstag in Berlin. Their projects are often based on unyielding concepts, requiring long periods of time to convince people before advancing to completion. Their project in February 2005, where they erected 7503 saffron-colored gates in New York’s Central Park, is fresh in our memories.

This exhibition stems from the long friendship between Christo and Jeanne-Claude and Issey Miyake, and has been put together through the direction of Masahiko Yanagi, who was involved with Christo and Jeanne-Claude’s projects for 25 years.

Make a reservation at Les Ottomans

Located at the most magnificent section of the Bosphorus, the “Muhsinzade Mehmet Pasha Mansion” has been brought back to life, as “Hôtel Les Ottomans”. The Mansion was one of the most prestigious mansions of its time and were built where there had been remains from the time of Ahmet III, a fountain and garden sets.

After a long and sad hiatus in its history, the mansion came back to life, was converted to one of the most luxurious and exclusive hotels in Turkey. Remaining faithful to its original design on the outside, it was restructured inside as a journey from its origins in the past to the present.

This extraordinary hotel consisting of 10 original and unique prestigious suites opens its doors to welcome guests, with great Bosporus views. The décor of the rooms combine the Ottoman tradition and the pleasures of a luxurious life that will leave guests breathless.

From and to the airport transfers select hotels boat Mahuu which is the ideal speed boat for transfers to all locations on the Bosphorus.

From never-before-seen photographs of the band’s first live show in New York to Andy Warhol’s cover and poster designs, Lou Reed’s handwritten music and lyrics, underground press clippings and controversial reviews, flyers, handbills, and posters, the materials here comprise a uniquely comprehensive survey of the first rock group ever to transcend the genre and embrace underground popular culture. Including a conversation recorded especially for the book between founding members Lou Reed and Maureen Tucker, this beautifully illustrated book is the first to present a definitive picture of the band’s genesis and development in the extraordinary New York scene of the mid- to late-1960s.

La Mamounia as a tranquil haven in the heart of Marrakech. Located on the edge of the walls of the old city of Marrakech, La Mamounia is named after its legendary 200-year-old gardens, originally given as an 18th century wedding gift to Prince Moulay Mamoun. Today the gardens at La Mamounia cover almost 20 acres with an enviable variety of flora and fauna. The hotel originally opened in 1923 and since has been symbolic of traditional Moroccan hospitality and a classic example of the great age of grand hotels.

Halkin, a haute-couture Italian-style boutique hotel, owned by Singapore’s Christina Ong of Como Shambhala group. The public spaces of The Halkin amount to little more than a small but handsome lobby and bar while the rooms get the star treatment.
The rooms design can be described as “”Milanese Zen”", rich leathers and soothing muted colors doing their best to expand the already generous space. Each floor takes on as its theme one of the four ancient elements but the differences are subtle enough to avoid gimmickry; all four are as unassumingly elegant as can be. The marble bathrooms are expansive, and the COMO Shambhala bath products add to the culture shock—you may have to walk outside and see the building’s Georgian facade to reassure yourself that this is indeed London.
The location, in quietly upscale Belgravia, is a perfect match for this chic yet grown-up hotel—attractive yet not too ostentatious, and providing easy access to Knightsbridge, Hyde Park and Picadilly.

This major career retrospective on Tim Burton consisting of a gallery exhibition and a film series, considers Burton’s career as a director, producer, writer, and concept artist for live-action and animated films, along with his work as a fiction writer, photographer and illustrator. Following the current of his visual imagination from early childhood drawings through his mature work, the exhibition presents artwork generated during the conception and production of his films, and highlights a number of unrealized projects and never-before-seen pieces, as well as student art, his earliest non-professional films, and examples of his work as a storyteller and graphic artist for non-film projects.

Chris Chan Chong Fui lives and works in Kuala Lumpur, and is the first Malaysian artist to present work at the Hirshhorn. In “BLOCK B,” (2008), a motionless camera watches night and day as dramas unfold on the various floors of a massive apartment complex in Malaysia. Chong captures this home to Indian expatriates working on temporary contracts, as if it is a documentary, with no special effects or lighting. He directs the viewers’ focus to realistic details within this fictionalized microcosm of urban humanity via imaginary voice-overs.
