Le Flandrin has occupied an historic railway station building since 1932, serving traditional French cuisine to some of the city’s finest clientele. Owned by the Malafosse family the brasserie reopened after a short hiatus ordered by the dynasty’s current representative, Gilles Malafosse, so that it could undergo much-deserved refurbishments. Interior architect Joseph Dirand, the creator of Monsieur Bleu’s much-admired Art Deco/Modernist interiors, has spent four months restoring Le Flandrin’s decor to its former glory.
