All Year Round Summer

I have just returned from Maldives, visiting two Constance Properties. I have been in Maldives before but went during winter  for the winter sun. My last trip I learned that Maldives is an “all year round summer” destination. And a real ‘honeymooners’ paradise especially during summer.

The Maldives, an island country in the Indian Ocean, is the exotic getaway that enjoys eight hours of sunshine per day on average. The country has dry and wet seasons, but the temperatures vary little during “summer” and “winter” months. In general the temperature is pretty consistent. Sounds like a paradise! Made up of nearly 2,000 small islands, the natural, stunning beauty of the Maldives archipelago lives up to postcard perfect. The white sand beaches, blue skies, tropical green landscapes, crystal clear turquoise waters. The islands’ coral reef atolls and lagoons present visitors with easy access to an abundance of underwater sea life,  making it one of the best places in the world to snorkel, dive, and whale watch year round.

The sea in Maldives depends on the Atol your resort is. That’s why I loved both Constance Moofushi ad Constance Halaveli which are in North Ari Atol, both have crystal clean turquoise and safe waters to swim. Constance Moofushi is a perfect combination of luxury and simplicity where you feel very laid back in barefood chic. Especially I liked here the spa treatments and the private movie night under the stars on the beach where we relaxed on comfortable loungers in front of the screen, and enjoy snacks, popcorn and drinks.

The Constance Halaveli Maldives resort was a dream place for me. Crystal waters and sparkling sand combine and lie in contrast to the green foliage to create an idyllic backdrop for the resort. Both water and beachside villas are spacious , have all their private pools are constructed  with natural materials to blend  into environment.

I have stayed this time in a beach villa with my private beach, pool a huge outside garden and an outdoor shower which was wonderful. Constance Halaveli has many restaurants and bars like Jahaz, Jing and Meeru restaurants, but I liked most the Kaika Sushi Bar, where you sit on the sand and enjoy the turquoise waters of the lagoon.
