LAN Club Beijing is an exclusive lounge and restaurant with global artistic taste. The restaurant LAN, designed by Philippe Starck, serves some of Beijing’s most delectable contemporary cuisine. Being the only work by renowned artist Philippe Starck in China, LAN holds a large number of art treasures and well-known antique furniture, like the world famous hand-made Baccarat crystal chandeliers, the black ones especially used by European royal families, and hundreds of world famous baroque paintings hanging from the ceiling and the walls in unique frames. Additionally, a near to a 1.000 square meters large oil painting canvas painted by 20 foreign artists, was cut into pieces to fit LAN, which now form the walls of the 35 private rooms. LAN holds a fresh looking oyster bar, a luxury cigar room, a red wine chamber, a classic English bar and a restaurant serving Contemporary Cantonese cuisine highlighting specialty dishes from all over China.

Housed in a white mansion, on the Côte D’Azur, on the tip of the peninsula of Cap-Ferrat, in 17 acres of lushly landscaped gardens with panoramic views of the Mediterranean, the Grand-Hotel du Cap-Ferrat has welcomed guests throughout the past 100 years.

The hotel opened in 2009 after an extensive expansion project by designer Pierre-Yves Rochon. The original Rotunda was designed and built by Gustave Eiffel in 1909 and is located adjacent to the main lobby with large bay windows overlooking the sea. The beautiful lobby features a crystal table by Lalique and a baroque chandelier made by Tisserant (whose other lighting projects include the Palace of Versailles) of crystal doves enclosed within a silver lantern that hangs from the ceiling and reflects light into the room from the rotunda.

A new sea-front wing, the Residence features eight new suites: each with its own private swimming pool and spacious terrace overlooking the sea and sixteen deluxe sea view rooms with private terraces.With the addition of this new wing the hotel now features 73 rooms and suites.Rooms are spacious, light and feature reproductions of artwork from French artists, many of whom were local to the area and regular guests at the Grand-Hotel, including Picasso, Cocteau, Matisse, Chagall, Modigliani and Rodin.

The pool at the Grand Hotel is synonymous with Pierre Gruneberg, resident swimming instructor, who has been teaching hotel guests to swim since 1950. Famous for his ‘salad bowl’ method, Pierre Gruneberg taught Charlie Chaplin’s children how to swim along with countless other hotel guests throughout the years. Grand Hotel guests Picasso and Jean Cocteau, while they did not take part in swimming lessons, sketched souvenir portraits of Pierre that he has saved in his book of Grand Hotel memoirs: “Le Livre D’Or”

Executive Chef Didier Aniès, oversees all three restaurants. Aniès’ cuisine is simple and delicious, unpretentious and elegant. He uses the best ingredients and his creations are inventive and influenced by the Provence region. The beautifully crafted furniture in the rooms include a Starck-designed English sycamore custom sleigh bed and, inspired by artist Man Ray, a whimsical wood chair in the form of a wheelbarrow. Floor-to-ceiling mirrors create a soothing ‘infinity effect. The San Francisco outpost of Jeffrey Chodorow’s Asia de Cuba restaurant has been designed to complement the legendary glamor of the Redwood Room. The renowned and innovative Asian-Latin cuisine is served in an atmosphere of unabashed glamor: lush silk curtains, mahogany and leather banquettes, hand-blown Murano glass lamps, and a spectacular cross-shaped and illuminated communal dining table from Venetian mirror.

Dominating the Piazza della Repubblica, the landmark neo-classical Principe Savoia has been hosying guests since the 1920s.

In 1927, the year the Principe opened its doors as the Principe e Savoia, Milan had already begun building its reputation as Italy’s business centre. New York based designer, Thierry Despont is responsible for the redesign of the public areas of the hotel. On arrival, the promenade lounge on the right hand side is a convenient meeting space for the well-heeled Milanese and guests alike to enjoy an aperitif surrounded by sumptuous Italian furniture.  To create an immediate impact on arriving at the Principe di Savoia, Despont has added classical paintings by famous artists such as Luca Giordano and a spectacular custom made Murano glass chandelier created by Barovier and Toso.

The Principe has a total of 401 rooms over ten floors including 72 Classic rooms which are refurbished recently.  Each room at the Hotel Principe di Savoia has been designed with meticulous care with taste of Milanese luxury..The Principe suites are appointed with hand painted frescoes, traditional Italian furniture as well as deep purple armchairs and floor-lamps creating a warm ambience. The large sitting rooms, part of each suite, are furnished with sumptuous sofas while colourful Murano glass vases sit on Lombardy style tables. The Hotels Bar is the place to see and be seen in Milan!

In the heart of the magnificent first-floor lounges, the “Cristal Room Baccarat” is a genuine living space situated in the former dining room of Marie-Laure de Noailles. Philippe Starck chose to preserve its original design while giving it a necessary touch of modernism and daringness. Meals are served in an extremely sophisticated setting of plain bricks set in wood paneling and gilts.

Baccarat has entrusted the kitchens of its Cristal Room restaurant to Guy Martin, the famous Michelin-rated chef of international repute. With his faithful second Thomas L’Hérisson, Martin proposes refined dishes from the most simple to the most elaborate.

Baccarat boutique is  situated at 11, place des Etats-Unis in Paris. The former muse of this unique private mansion, Marie-Laure de Noailles (1902-1971) gave magical parties there and metamorphosed this magnificent place of pomp and tradition into a home dedicated to painters, writers and musicians. Time and again she would reorganize the layout and design of the mansion to suit her mood.

Philippe Starck was immediately carried away by the idea of developing this magnificent project. He was given carte blanche and developed the extravagant scheme, full of wonderment and surprise for this leading international luxury brand..

Hotel Le Meurice, has been around for over two centuries and in 2007 the hotel came to a new establishment phase with Philip Starck and his daughter Ara. Philip Starck created successfully a new atmosphere , one that would exalt Le Meurice’s rich past.

Known as ‘the hotel of kings and queens’, Le Meurice hosted Queen Victoria, Tchaikovsky, King of Spain, Roosevelt, Elizabeth Taylor and many others over the years. The hotel also became Salvador Dali’s home for over 30 years, who had demands like herd of sheep, horse, flies to his room from hotel staff. Picasso and his wife Olga selected  Meurice to host their wedding dinner.

Today, with its great location, overlooking the historic Tuileries Garden, great interiors, created by Philip Starck and impeccable service , Meurice successfully blends classic , history with contemporary. The open reception area affords views of the hotel’s three main public spaces: three Michelin starred restaurant le Meurice, restaurant le Dali and the Bar 228 all with clever touches of Starck. The Chateau Marmont is not only a hotel in Hollywood, but it is a legend which has served as the backdrop for a number of events in the lives of well-known stars.. Jean Harlow carried on an affair with Clark Gable while honeymooning here with her husband, John Belushi overdosed and died here, When Montgomery Clift was almost killed in a  auto accident Elizabeth Taylor brought him to Chateau, Scott Fitzgerald suffered a heart-attack, Red Hot Chili Peppers recorded his vocals for “By the Way” in this hotel. Colin Farrell was once caught making out with Britney Spears here and it goes on and on and on for almost 70 years..
Built in 1927 and modeled loosely after the Château d’Amboise in France’s Loire Valley by Fred Horowitz, a local attorney. His project turned into the Chateau Marmont, named for the street running across the back of the property.  It opened in February 1929 as an apartment house, but high rents and the Depression kept renters away. In 1931 the building was changed to a hotel. The hotel was bought in 1990 and managed by Andre Balazs properties and it’s been continuing  a hot spot ever since..

Nine cottages were built in the 1930s next to the hotel, which were acquired by the hotel in the 1940s. Two of the 4 bungalows at the Chateau Marmont were designed by Craig Ellwood in 1956 after he completed Case Study Houses. The bungalows are like miniature case study houses
The hotel also has an exclusive, reservations-only restaurant serving California and Eclectic cuisine. The chef is Caryolynn Spence, originally of New York’s Spotted Pig.[3]
The Chateau Marmont has catered to a large celebrity clientele over its 90 year history.

In 1994, former fashion entrepreneur Murray Moss who helped shape the surrounding Soho retail geography, opened Moss in a small former gallery space in Soho, with a determination to transform the public perception of industrial product design. The store quickly became internationally known for its product selection and presentation, with clients ranging from highly informed design professionals, to celebrities, students, and tourists with maps.

Today, Moss became the design Mecca of New York and offers one of the world’s most sophisticated selections of porcelain tableware, crystal and cutlery, contextualized in presentation by association with furniture and lighting from some of the greatest designers of the 20th century.

At Moss, context is fundamental, and value should be inferred from inaccessibility. The shop intentionally looks and feels like a museum, with everything locked behind glass or raised onto platforms. It’s cold. It’s white. The music is tense. The selling staff wear dark monotone clothing. And Asian, black or white, male or female, they register as one – young, good looking, courteous, helpful, and informed. Above all, informed.
