Make a reservation at Cap Ferrat

Housed in a white mansion, on the Côte D’Azur, on the tip of the peninsula of Cap-Ferrat, in 17 acres of lushly landscaped gardens with panoramic views of the Mediterranean, the Grand-Hotel du Cap-Ferrat has welcomed guests throughout the past 100 years.

The hotel opened in 2009 after an extensive expansion project by designer Pierre-Yves Rochon. The original Rotunda was designed and built by Gustave Eiffel in 1909 and is located adjacent to the main lobby with large bay windows overlooking the sea. The beautiful lobby features a crystal table by Lalique and a baroque chandelier made by Tisserant (whose other lighting projects include the Palace of Versailles) of crystal doves enclosed within a silver lantern that hangs from the ceiling and reflects light into the room from the rotunda.

A new sea-front wing, the Residence features eight new suites: each with its own private swimming pool and spacious terrace overlooking the sea and sixteen deluxe sea view rooms with private terraces. With the addition of this new wing the hotel now features 73 rooms and suites.Rooms are spacious, light and feature reproductions of artwork from French artists, many of whom were local to the area and regular guests at the Grand-Hotel, including Picasso, Cocteau, Matisse, Chagall, Modigliani and Rodin.

The pool at the Grand Hotel is synonymous with Pierre Gruneberg, resident swimming instructor, who has been teaching hotel guests to swim since 1950. Famous for his ‘salad bowl’ method, Pierre Gruneberg taught Charlie Chaplin’s children how to swim along with countless other hotel guests throughout the years. Grand Hotel guests Picasso and Jean Cocteau, while they did not take part in swimming lessons, sketched souvenir portraits of Pierre that he has saved in his book of Grand Hotel memoirs: “Le Livre D’Or”

Executive Chef Didier Aniès, oversees all three restaurants. Aniès’ cuisine is simple and delicious, unpretentious and elegant. He uses the best ingredients and his creations are inventive and influenced by the Provence region. Try the new La Véranda restaurant that offers creative and authentic Mediterranean cuisine views of the sea and surrounding gardens.

If it is “‘breakfast at The Tiffany’s ” for New York, it is absolutely “‘breakfast at Wolseley”‘ for London. Serving everyday not only breakfast, but also all-day snacks, coffees, afternoon teas, sandwiches, platters of crustacea, ice-cream coupes, patisserie and cakes, and a full à la carte, with a daily changing plat du jour in a very European Grand Café tradition. Favorites include mittel-European classics such as Wiener Holstein and Kaiserschmarren or very French brasserie dishes such as Escargots à la Bourguignonne and Coq au Vin to British staples such as Deep-fried Whitebait, Grilled Dover Sole and Lancashire Hot Pot. The short wine list is derived entirely from Europe.

The Wolseley is located on one of London’s most famous boulevards, Piccadilly, adjacent to The Ritz in an 1921 designed Wolseley Motors Limited building which was used as a prestigious car showroom. The Wolseley cars were displayed on the marble floor. Unfortunately, the cars did not sell well enough and by 1926 the Company was bankrupt. Barclays Bank acquired the building and the branch opened for the first time in April 1927. William Curtis Green, the architect was recalled to install managers’ offices (now the bar and tea salon) and a banking counter. He also designed specialized furniture including a post box and stamp machine, which is on display today. Barclays remained until 1999. 160 Piccadilly is now a Grade II Listed Building. Chris Corbin and Jeremy King secured the site in July 2003 and its restoration and renovation was overseen by David Collins Architects. The Wolseley opened in November 2003.

Make a reservation at Imperial, Delhi

The Imperial is a legend that offers a unique experience embracing facets of India’s history, and stands witness to the birth of the capital city of New Delhi. Built in 1931 by Blomfield; one of Sir Edwin Lutyen’s associates and inaugurated by Lord Willingdon in 1936, the Hotel is known for its contemporary colonial style. As New Delhi’s landmark Hotel, it is located on Janpath, the erstwhile Queensway, steps away from the renowned shopping district and major attractions of the city.

It is a marvelous mélange of victorian, colonial and art deco styles in its interiors. The spacious high ceiling guest rooms, stunning crystal chandeliers, sparkling marble floors, large mahogany tables along with the impressive wealth of original 18th and 19th century art collection that adorns the corridors of the hotel, are a constant reminder of the elegance of the colonial era. India’s great personalities have walked the corridors of the hotel and shared the most daring ideas over a cup of tea in its restaurant and lounges.

The Imperial has 190 spacious guest rooms and an impressive collection of 43 suites, with high ceilings and thematic décor.

The world acclaimed master chef Daniel Boulud offering in Beijing French Fine dining in two story central building of the former American Embassy compound, built in the late 1900’s and next to Tiananmen Square. Creating a band new culinary style through the fusion of classic French preparation methods and Chinese ingredients, each dish will provide guests with a sensational dining experience.

Maison Boulud covers 700 sq meters across two levels.
As one of the legendary hotels in the world Raffles Hotel opened in 1887 in an old bungalow known as the Beach House. It was named after Sir Stamford Raffles, the founder of modern Singapore.

Tropical suites were as much a part of Raffles Hotel’s early style as bentwood tables and rattan chairs. Over the years the hotel has evolved into one of the world’s most beloved grand hotels and welcomed innumerable celebrities, writers and royalty. Declared a National Monument in 1987, the hotel reopened in1991, after a big restoration.

Raffles Hotel features 103 suites, 18 distinctive restaurants and bars, Amrita Spa and Raffles Hotel Arcade housing the best in regional specialities and international brand names. Even if you don’t stay there you must visit to experience the historic Singapore.

Hôtel Plazal Athénée is a mythical hotel since it has created ‘Avenue Montaigne’, the fashion avenue of Paris. In 1852 Emperor Napoléon III commissioned Georges Haussmann to transform Paris, a quiet medieval city, into a modern, bustling capital. During this period, Plaza Athénée was built among many legendary hotels as symbols of traditional French style. The Hôtel Plaza Athénée opened its doors at 25 Avenue Montaigne in 1911. Parisian and international society quickly flocked to its elegant salons, and by 1936, the hotel had received international recognition. The hotel soon gained an enviable reputation for luxury, service and glamor. Seeing the attraction created by the hotel, Christian Dior opened his boutique in 1946 and together with his followers he turned Avenue Montaigne into a place of ‘haute couture’.
